On this marathon TDDTIE episode we cover the night race at Diegem, the Zolder round of the World Cup and the DVV Azencross race from Loenhout. We also answer viewer mail (we know you're not viewers), and listen to some hotline calls. To close it out, we wade into the "should the date of cyclocross nationals be moved debate for the umpteenth time, but this time there's a twist! We also make our picks for U.S. cyclocross nationals before signing off.

On episode 58 , Lindsay Bayer visits the Crosshairs Radio basement studio for a wide-ranging conversation about women's pro cycling. Lindsay started racing on the dirt but found her greatest success on the road. She is a co-owner of the Hagens-Berman Supermint team and also is (unofficially?) coming out of a short-lived retirement to once again toe the line at a national calendar race near you.

It was great to catch up with Lindsay about how she came to co-own a team and the highs and lows of racing bikes. We also touch on how to get noticed as an up-and-coming racer, Lindsay's reluctant part in one of the iconic cycling photos of 2016, and also about eating disorders in the professional ranks.

You can follow the HB Supermint team on Instagram at @supermintusa and Lindsay at @thdirtfield

On episode 57 of Crosshairs Radio, David, Scott and Bill talk about Resolution Cup and the North Carolina Grand Prix in the U.S., two DVV races and the Namur Cyclocross World Cup. We also marvel at Mr. David Palan's new audio set up. Next week, we'll teach him where the gain adjust is located.

In addition, we answered some great listener mail and played your voicemail messages, too. Keep those coming in. We love to hear from you and the interaction is a great part of the show.

Ben Frederick, who we first got to know in episodes 9 and 20 of Crosshairs Radio, returns for a third time. Ben wanted to talk, first and foremost, about updates to the team he created in 2015, which is now called beyondCX p/b Ascent Bicycle Studio.

After a good conversation surrounding the team announcement, we move on to part ii of the show, which tackles Ben's current condition and the recovery process from a traumatic brain injury. Four months ago, Ben crashed while riding through a sandy section on a training ride and hit his head. His journey back to normalcy from that day on hasn't been easy.

It's a tough conversation but one worth listening to. Thanks for tuning in and please check out Ben's new team at beyondCX.rocks

Also, follow on Twitter at @beyondCXcycling and Instagram at @beyondCXcycling. Give his team and sponsors a shout. And if you feel compelled, throw in a couple bucks to help Ben with the necessities during his recovery: https://www.gofundme.com/BenjamFred.
